The pictures below show the style of accommodation provided as part of the Down Under Rugby program.
The Coogee Guesthouse was home to all Down Under Rugby athletes in 2006. The house was fully furnished, had a fully equipped kitchen and a large outdoor entertaining area ready for an Aussie BBQ. The 2006 guys were very sad to leave their Australian home.
In 2007 the athletes were accommodated in apartments throughout Coogee. One of the apartments overlooked Coogee Oval. This allowed the guys to watch the Wallabies train, from the comfort of their own living room, whenever they were in Sydney. See below for pictures of the Dolphino residence below – the guys are hanging out of sunroom window of this one.
Accommodation is selected closer to the start date of the program. This allows us to best match the number of guys participating in the program to the short-term accommodation available at the time in the Coogee area.
